Skill Development & Livelihood Development Programme

Building self-reliance, financial independence, and market-ready vocational competencies for rural women, youth, and farmers.

Empowering Through Sustainable Livelihoods

KVSDS believes that lasting social change begins with economic self-reliance. Our Skill & Livelihood initiatives bridge the gap between traditional rural knowledge and modern vocational demands, providing women, youth, and smallholder farmers with practical skills, credit linkage, and self-employment pathways.

Through Self-Help Groups (SHGs), artisan clusters, and farming cooperatives, we enable participants to generate sustainable family income while preserving local cultural trades.

Soil Testing Centre

Unscientific fertilizer application and soil salinity in coastal Sundarbans delta soils frequently cause severe crop losses. KVSDS established an active Soil Testing Centre to test farmers' soil samples for pH balance, electrical conductivity, organic carbon, and primary nutrients (Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium), issuing customized Soil Health Cards to protect farmland fertility.
